Southern Company Co-ops and Interns are developing hands on skills in the field and in corporate settings.
Our Student Programs are designed to provide a hands-on experience to motivated undergraduates in the areas of Engineering, Business, Finance, Computer Science and other. Our goal is to develop you professionally to be considered for full-time employment within the Southern Company family.
Cooperative Education (Co-op) opportunities are often direct pipelines into full-time careers with Southern Company. Through three alternating rotations you will apply what you learn in the classroom and develop skills that prepare you to be immediate contributors to the company’s success should you receive a full-time opportunity.
Internships offer flexibility for students to develop practical skills and apply their classroom learnings through meaningful assignments. Internships may also lead to full-time employment upon graduation. Internships are offered in the Spring, Summer and Fall.
Non-engineering opportunities also exist in corporate support roles like Marketing, Communications, Supply Chain, Economics, Accounting & Finance, and others.
